Midtown West Hotels in New York City

The neighborhood of Midtown West in New York City, also known as Hell’s Kitchen or Clinton, stretches down the side of Manhattan just west of Times Square and Midtown, below the Upper West Side, and north of Chelsea. Midtown West includes the area between 34th to 59th Street, from 8th Avenue to the Hudson River. Set aside from the bright lights of Broadway and excitement of Times Square, Midtown West hotels used to be located in a gritty neighborhood of working-class Irish-Americans, but has undergone gentrification within the last several decades. Due to its proximity to Broadway, many aspiring actors live here.
