Other Convention Facilities in NYC
The Javits Center is not the only convention facility in NYC, however, as NYC is home to many other convention facilities. These facilities can hold events both big and small, and can be found throughout the city. Listed below are other conference facilities in NYC:
Resorts World Casino
Though it may be known for its casino, Resorts World also has an event space that can easily serve as a convention facility. Its main Central Park Space is 50,000 square feet and is as spacious as it is versatile, being perfect to host meetings, trade shows, charity events, and more. An audio visual system is combined with a talented banquets and events staff to fulfill all the needs of guests. Additionally, Resorts World has an outdoor terrace which can be used to hold smaller events.
Brooklyn EXPO Center
Located in the Greenpoint neighborhood of Brooklyn, the Brooklyn EXPO Center is a large convention facility capable of holding all types of events. The building features a 28,000 square foot main exhibition hall, 24 foot high ceilings, and a banquet hall with the capacity to hold 2,200 people. The Brooklyn EXPO will be able to handle large scale productions of public events, private events, conferences, company meetings, conventions, product launches, receptions, multi media events and banquet seating. Past events include the Brooklyn Tattoo Expo the Solexchange Sneaker Show, and Droidcon.
Pier 92/94
Piers 92 and 94 are facilities that are found in NYC’s Hell’s Kitchen, between W 54th Street and W 52nd Street. Pier 92 features a 75,000 square foot exhibition space while Pier 94’s exhibition space is larger at 133,000 square feet. They both have an open floor plan with high ceilings and column free corridors. Past events to take place at Pier 92 and 94 were The Armory Show, The Westminster Kennel Club, and the NYC Wine & Food Festival.
